The Ritz opened William Kent House, an eighteenth century town house situated at No 22 Arlington Street now adjoining the hotel.
Traveling to London this year? Immerse yourself in a world of style, sophistication and grace – the likes of which can only be found in this hotel, in this city. The Ritz London is a memorable place to take in all the excitement and wonder that fashionable London has to offer.
The Ritz has been a London legend since its opening in 1906. In late 2006, following the celebrations of the hotel’s centennial, The Ritz opened William Kent House, an 18th-century town house adjoining the hotel. In addition to the five banquet rooms available for private functions, three sumptuous new residential suites were created on the upper floors of the house. Work on the interiors of these suites – The Royal, The Prince of Wales, and The Arlington – was done in keeping with the guidelines set down by British Heritage.
The Royal Suite, a one-bedroom split-level duplex, incorporates a magnificent drawing room with a vaulted gilded ceiling, leading to a separate formal dining room with seating for 10 people at the mahogany table. Perhaps the most unique feature of this suite is the hidden staircase leading to the oval bedroom. The Prince of Wales Suite is a spacious apartment-style penthouse enjoying outstanding views from the main reception rooms over Green Park towards Buckingham Palace. The suite comprises its own entrance hall and butler’s kitchen, two inter-connecting bedrooms decorated in delicate pastel upholstery, each with walk-in wardrobes and marble bathrooms with televisions
