The gym has been renovated with new lighting, a new floor, and several new exercise machines have been added. The hotel’s interiors are held to be of such great historical significance that they have been designated as a “Swedish National Treasure”, notably the Spegelsalen (Hall of Mirrors), Vinterträdgården (the Winter Gar¬den) as well as a number of the other original function rooms. As such, the Grand Hôtel consults the Swedish National Museum before embarking on refurbishment projects. In line with The Grand’s ever-evolving host of facilities, 2007 saw the opening of 4 new capacious state-of-the-art conference rooms in addition to the 19 historic meetings- and banqueting rooms.
